The official residence of police personnel at Berekum in the Brong Ahafo region went up in flames Thursday afternoon.
About 10 rooms were affected by the fire which started around 3:30pm.
Even though no lives were lost, several property running into thousands of cedis were lost to the fire.
At the time the fire started most of the occupants, who are police personnel, were at post.
It took firefighters about two hours to douse the fire.
