Exactly four years today, the whole nation was stricken with unprecedented grief when then sitting president, Prof. John Evans Atta Mills departed the land of the living to meet his maker.

Widely acclaimed the Asomdwehene (Prince of Peace), the religious late President succumbed to what some say was a protracted ill health on July 24, 2012.Mills Asomdwe (2)Among several other activities to mark his fourth anniversary was a wreath laying ceremony at the Asomdwe Park, where he was buried, in Accra near the Independence Square.

A Library complex would be commissioned in Cape Coast, Central Region as well as public lectures to commemorate his demise and what he stood for.

Mills Asomdwe (5)A former Special Aide to Prof. Mills, Koku Anyidoho told Onua FM’s Central Regional correspondent Kwame kakarba in Cape Coast that many Ghanaians still grief over the national loss.

“We should not allow Ghana to die, Ghana will not die”, Koku recalled with fond memories what the late president kept hammering on, a man who was bent on contributing his quota to see Ghana work.
