Parliamentary aspirants of the Progressive Peoples’ Party have joined their rejected presidential nominee, Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom in his fight to get his 2016 presidential bid on course.
The parliamentary aspirants, who met with Dr Nduom in Accra Wednesday to plan the next line of action after his disqualification, concluded that the businessman cum politician is still up in the 2016 presidential race.
Dr. Nduom was disqualified together with 11 other presidential aspirants including Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings of the New Democratic Party (NDP) and Dr Henry Lartey of the Great Consolidated People’s Party (GCPP) the Electoral Commission said they failed to meet the legal requirements.
But Dr Nduom has since challenged that assertion by the Commission claiming those are administrative errors that the EC ought to have been given them opportunity to rectify. He has already served notice to go to court to have his disqualification reversed.
Speaking to 3FM, the parliamentary aspirant for the Komenda –Edina-Eguafo – Abirem Constituency, John Sterly, until all is avenues of redress are exhausted, they will support Dr Nduom.
“This disqualification is not a disqualification. Until and unless we have exhausted all possible means to put him back on the voting list, then I would say he is qualified,” he said.

“We know Dr Nduom is the adwumawura (hardworking), and is already doing a lot for the people of Ghana. No matter what the situation, will stay with Dr Nduom,” she said.
