Ghana’s president John Dramani Mahama has said goodbye to former Council of State member, Dr. Mary Grant who passed away on Sunday, September 18.
Dr. Grant reportedly passed away at the 37 Military Hospital at the age of 88.
She was survived by 6 children, 4 of them adopted and 2 being her biological children.
Dr. Grant became politically active during the Provisional National Defense Council (PNDC) and held positions as Health minister at a point in time.
Referring to her as mummy, President Mahama in a tweet on Monday said “Adieu Dr. Mary Grant. A great woman of our modern era. Rest in Peace, mummy.”
