A group of professionals from all walks of life, Professionals for Change, has mobilised to spread Nana Akufo-Addo’s message of hope to the electorate.
The group said it decided to go all out to canvass votes for the NPP flagbearer after realizing the inherent danger in sitting on the fence “amidst the unbearable economic challenges the NDC has subjected the good people of Ghana to and with a deep conviction to restore Ghana’s lost pride and dignity.”
Since its creation in March, 2016, the group has undertaken several outreach programmes, reaching out to the poor and marginalized, and providing succour to the needy in the Greater Accra, Central, Eastern, Brong Ahafo, Ashanti and Volta regions of Ghana. Drivers for Change, Kayaye for Change, Waakye fest have all received the initiatives of the group.
Buoyed by the success of its outreach activities and goodwill generated, the group considers its patriotic duty to support, where feasible, other volunteer groups that share a common vision of arresting the decline of the economy brought about by rampant corruption, thievery, incompetence and insensitivity of the Mahama administration. To this end, the group has provided financial and in kind assistance to Loyal Ladies, Zongo Ladies for Nana, Mums4change, Youth4Change and Volta4Change.
With barely three months to the elections, Professionals for Change said it has no intention of slowing down in its determination to assist in liberating Ghana from the “tyranny of the Mahama/Amissah-Arthur administration and replaced with the visionary and competent leadership of Nana Akufo-Addo and Alhaji Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia.”
The group believes that only a Nana Addo/Bawumia administration can arrest the depth of hopelessness that the youth have fallen into and restore the dreams of an inclusive and prosperous nation.
“Eight years of hardship and dejection is enough. It’s time to chart a new course. Thankfully, change is on the horizon. The group entreats all well meaning Ghanaians to arise for the change that we desperately need,” it underscored, “Lets us all play our part. Get involved and secure the future of our Children!”
