MP for Ningo Prampram, Samuel Nartey George, popularly known as Sam George, has responded to Richard Dela Sky’s petition to the Supreme Court, questioning the legality of the anti-LGBTQ bill.
Sky contends that the bill breaches the 1992 Constitution, particularly Article 33(5), and fundamental human rights. He seeks a Supreme Court order to prevent President Akufo-Addo from signing the bill, asserting it would violate constitutional liberties. Additionally, he requests an injunction against enforcing provisions criminalizing same-sex relationships and associated advocacy efforts.
In a social media post, Sam George characterized Sky’s petition as having “a lot of fluff,” expressing a keen interest in closely following the court submissions. Additionally, he conveyed greetings from Ama Governor.
https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.jsDear @RichardDelaSky, I have seen and read your writ. A lot of fluff, but the substance is your prayer to the Supreme Court to stop @NAkufoAddo from assenting to the Human Sexual Rights and Family Values Bill, 2024.

In 2022, Ama Governor (Elorm Aba Ababio) encountered a rejection for bar entry, even after successfully completing exams and interviews. The General Legal Council cited a complaint that outlined her involvement in “conduct unbecoming of an applicant to be called to the bar.”
Amidst online discussions, a letter attributed to the petitioner “Hajia Siduri” emerged, gaining viral attention. The document implied Sky’s connection to the petition urging the General Legal Council to reprimand Ama Governor. Although the contact on the letter matched Richard Dela Sky’s, he refuted involvement, asserting he did not author the document.
