Sarkodie Throws Shots At M.Anifest, Quata, Other Rappers – Watch Video

Ahead of the September 8 release of his fifth studio album, rapper Sarkodie has released a scathing freestyle aimed at his colleague rappers.

Titled ‘State of Mind,’ it sees him literally tear into his “haters” calling them out for their inability to take the rap throne in spite of their numerous attempts.

He rides on Jay Z’s ‘Smile‘ to tout his achievements as a rapper.  “…Ghanafoɔ, obia call me the greatest. Sesei sɛ me kɔ tour a/I’m thinking when I’m coming back…Obi bɛfa m’ahinkyɛ nso a, slack, goddammit. My state of mind/M’maintaini me position for Lord knows/I be one of a kind/ E bi divine.”

He takes aim at rappers M.anifest and Quata who have come at him lyrically in the past months rapping: M’swerve swerve the potholes in life/Still a we dey on the grind/E no be rap, e bi God/…Seisei m’abrɛ, me winni dodo/Chale e dey bore. Ɛtɔ dabi a me tumi yi ahinkyɛ no/Place it on the floor/Tu kwan kɔ hyɛ Bahamas/Mɛ ba no still a on the floor/F**k it/I need some motivation/Mo amma me competition/Nea me kyɛɛ no hype no still a w’anhu the bigger vision.”
