The Takoradi Hospital has taken delivery of 29 pieces of Digital Blood Pressure Monitors from the Sekondi-Takoradi Progressive Club Global, a benevolent club, to help provide quality health delivery.

The Medical Superintendent of Takoradi Hospital, Dr. George Peprah, expressing appreciation to the club during the donation of the medical equipment, said the Digital BP monitors are highly in need at the hospital, hence the facilities had come at the right time.

“These Digital BP Monitors donated to us by the Sekondi-Takoradi Progressive Club Global come in handy to help us with our work. BP management is something that we do for almost every patient that comes here, and so they are instruments that are in high demand at the hospital.”

“Having these set of Digital Monitors will go a long way to help our work, so we say thank you to the club, its President and all the contributing members of the club who have worked for us to receive these valuable instruments“, he added.

President of the Sekondi-Takoradi Progressive Club Global, Dr. Caroline Ewurabena Ampah, told Citi News the club is a benevolent club with natives of Sekondi-Takoradi living abroad who care about the quality of life of those back home in Ghana.

Dr. Caroline Ewurabena Ampah indicated that the donation is part of a bigger plan it has for the hospital.

“This is in line with events and preparations leading to the establishment of the First Ever Cardio Unit at the Takoradi Hospital. We believe this will go a long way to help the doctors and hospital staff to provide quality care to heart patients.“, she noted.

The Sekondi-Takoradi Progressive Club Global which has a track record of refurbishing hospitals and donating medical equipment is set to make a much bigger donation of hospital equipment to some health facilities in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis come December.
