Six suspects are in custody in connection with the murder of South African rapper Kiernan Forbes, known as AKA.
AKA and his friend Tibz were fatally shot near a Durban restaurant in February 2023.
KwaZulu-Natal provincial police commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi provided an update, stating the suspects will face court on Thursday.
In an internet video, Mkhwanazi explained that AKA was monitored from the airport, and Tibz wasn’t the intended target on Florida Road in Durban, emphasizing, “We know they were paid for this.”
