In a tragic development, the body of 22-year-old Darius Joshua Appiah was discovered near the Frederiksberg stream in Virginia following a 10-day search.
Darius, the son of Ghanaian pastor Maxwell Appiah, went missing on January 23, 2024, after leaving work for lunch. Despite initial obstacles due to a mysterious phone shutdown, a search party comprising church members, emergency workers, and volunteers located his body two days later from Alum Springs Park, where his car was found.
The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office is currently conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding Darius’s disappearance and death. City police spokeswoman Sarah Morris has confirmed that Darius’s body has been taken to a medical examiner’s office to determine the cause of death.
