Former TV3 staff, Veronica Narkwor Kwabla has been shortlisted for the 2016 CNN Multichoice African Journalist award out of over 1,600 entries from 38 countries across the continent including French and Portuguese speaking countries.
Narkwor who has won several honours both domestically and internationally joins 38 other finalists for the prestigious continental award scheduled to come off in Johannesburg, South Africa in October 2016.
She is the only Ghanaian nominated for the award this year and would join all the finalists at an all-expense paid four day program of workshops, media forums and networking in South Africa before the final awards night.

The CNN MultiChoice African Journalist 2016 competition is open to African professional journalists, whether directly employed or freelancers, working in the continent of Africa who have produced a story which has been made available as a printed publication or broadcast through an electronic medium (television; radio or digital platform) whose primary audience are based in Africa.
Entries were published or broadcast in 2015 for the following awards:
Culture Award; Ecobank Economics & Business Award; Mohamed Amin Photographic Award; African Development Bank Environment Award; Press Freedom Award; The Maggie Eales Young Journalist Award; MSD Health & Medical Award; Sport Reporting Award; News Impact Award; Francophone general news awards; Portuguese language general news awards; GE Energy & Infrastructure Award; Features Award; and Dow Technology & Innovation Award.
