A government delegation led by the Vice President Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur has visited the family of the former member of the Council of State, Dr (Mrs) Mary Grant, to commiserate with them on the death of the stateswoman.
Mrs Grant of the erstwhile Provisional National Defence Council died at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra Sunday at the age of 88.
The vice president was accompanied by the former Chief of Staff, Henry Martey Newman, Health Minister Alex Segbefia, Finance Minister Seth Terkper, and the National Democratic Congress Chairman Kofi Portuphy.Mr Amissah-Arthur signed the book of condolence and described the Mrs Grant as ” Outstanding individual who contributed to the growth of Ghana”The veep added: Dr Mrs Mary Grant served our nation with humility. Her judgement was extraordinary and she mentored many of the young people who serve in government. She has made her contribution and we wish her well in her next life.
