Video: GCAA explains ban on Samsung Galaxy Note 7

Samsung began a global recall of its Galaxy Note 7 on September 2, in response to battery problems that caused some of their phones to burst into flames. Over 2.5 million Galaxy Note seven 7 were recalled.

Samsung has recovered about 60 percent of the faulty devices in the US, South Korea and the European markets.

As part of the safety briefing to passengers on board all airlines, The Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) directs all passengers and crew in possession of these devices what to do and what not to do onboard aircraft.
