Made-in-Ghana Campaign Ambassador, Emelia Arthur, who is also a gospel musician has appealed to the electorate to vote for a candidate who will encourage and support the production of locally manufactured goods and ensure its patronage.
The gospel star observed, “I have followed the electioneering campaign keenly and have observed that none of the presidential candidates do mention or promise to promote made in Ghana goods should he or she be elected as the president of our dear nation, Ghana”.
In a press statement, Emilia Arthur said the economy would be more stable and resilient if Ghanaians are made to accept, consume and export what is produced locally, therefore, minimizing the importation of goods from foreign countries is key.

VOTE FOR PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE WHO WILL PROMOTE MADE IN GHANA DURING CAMPAIGN
For Ghana to develop and be self reliance, we must eat, drink, wear, and but what we produce in Ghana and not foreign goods.
It is in line with this that I, the Made in Ghana Campaign Ambassador, Emelia Arthur and a gospel musician, is appealing to the Ghanaian electorate to vote for a candidate who would encourage and support the production of locally manufactured goods and ensure its patronage when voted into power.
I have followed the electioneering campaign keenly and have observed that none of the presidential candidates do mention or promise to promote made in Ghana good should he or she be elected as the president of our dear nation, Ghana.
The economy would be more stable and resilient if Ghanaians are made to accept, consume and export what is produced locally, therefore, minimizing the importation of goods from foreign countries is key.
I am however, challenging the candidate who shares in this vision to come out boldly and make an emphatic statement to the Ghanaian populace.
This is because throughout my monitoring across the length and breadth of the country, none of you have laid emphasis on the promotion and consumption of our local produce.
I therefore call on voters who would be exercising their franchise during the December 7 elections to elect a robust leader who would create an enabling environment for production of goods and services in the country.
I m optimistic that candidates who align themselves to the ideology of pushing and promoting Made in Ghana (MiG) would win votes from the electorates since I believes that it would create jobs for the youth in the country.
Produce what you consume, consume what you produce
