Hip-Life artiste Wisa Greid, who is standing trial for indecent exposure, made an emergency appearance in court Friday morning after the court had earlier issued a bench warrant for his arrest for failing to show up.
Wisa who has denied the charge of exposing his genital on stage during a concert at the Accra International Conference Centre on December 24, was mandated to appear before the court 8:00AM Friday.
However, when his case was called, both the Ekiki me hit maker and his lawyer were absent, prompting prosecutors to pray for an arrest warrant which was granted by the Circuit Court presided over by Mrs Abena Oppong Adjin-Doku.
The case was then adjourned to February 12.
But following the issuance of the warrant for his arrest, calls were placed to him and by 10:00AM, the musician arrived at the court in an apparent attempt to get the warrant withdrawn by the court.
