Ghanaian actor Mikki Osei Berko popularly known as Dada Boat has said that it was a depressing time when he worked with Adom FM.
Speaking in an interview with Fiifi Pratt on Kingdom FM on Thursday, the “Taxi Driver” star said his contract with the radio station was terminated just four months after he was employed.
According to him, he was interviewed via skype in the UK before being employed at Adom FM.
He recounted being asked during the interview what different thing would he bring on board and he answering that a strong production team would make his delivery better than it used to because throughout his radio life he had never had a production team.
Mikki said when he came to Ghana to start the job, the production team was not available so it took the late Fennec Okyere (Kwaw Kese’s former manager) to organize a team for him but it was even difficult to get transportation for them.
He revealed that one day, he was queried by the then programs director for his failure to add effects on a segment which was similar to the “Konkonsa” segment he used to host on Radio Gold.
Mikki said the show was live so there was no way he could have added the voice effect on it and that is how a management meeting was called and he was asked to go off air for a week even though he apologized to the programs director.
He stated that things became very tough for him because it wasn’t in his plans to leave his family to relocate to Ghana after living in the UK for seven years.
According to him, Multimedia never cared about it.
