Accra, July 01, GNA – The World Trade Centre Accra (WTC Accra) has partnered with Altkom Akademia to provide live professional education and capacity-building programmes in Africa using a digital platform.
WTC Accra is a key trade and investment facilitator in Ghana and a part of the global network of the World Trade Centre Association.
Additionally, it runs corporate training and capacity-building programmes for businesses, government agencies, and private individuals throughout Africa.
In a statement announcing the partnership with Altkom Akademia, Edem Kofi Yevutsey, Executive Director of WTC Accra, said it would increase WTC Accra’s capacity to offer a wider range of training programmes accredited by top global certifying institutions in the fields of leadership, information technology, project management, and finance.
The training provided by Altkom Akademia is delivered using an innovative platform and methodology and is certified by organisations such as Google, Microsoft, People Cert (Axelos), Java, Python, and many more, according to the statement.
“A global faculty of distinguished experts facilitate the training programmes, and participants gain lifetime access to materials used during the training,” it said.
African economies are developing faster than the world average, creating enormous potential for both domestic and foreign businesses, and the new Africa Continental Free Trade Agreement is enticing multinational corporations to invest more in Africa.
As a result, education and professional development are critical for African countries to fully capitalise on growth prospects and use their youthful populations.
The statement described the WTC Accra’s partnership with Altkom Akademia as a strategic alliance to equip Africans for the continent’s future economic boom.
Togbe Afede XIV, Executive Chairman of WTC was quoted as saying that the partnership was inspired by WTC Accra’s strategic objective of promoting prosperity across the continent.
He further stated that the collaboration with Altkom Akademia would position WTC Accra as a leading provider of education and professional development services in Africa.
“It will also enable governments and corporations to enhance the capacity of their workers and prepare them adequately to face the challenges of the dynamic global market,” he added.
