Six years ago, the music world lost its rhythm when the vibrant dancehall sensation, Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng, famously known as Ebony Reigns, left us in the wake of a chilling vehicular tragedy at Mankranso in the Ashanti Region.
Tragically, not only did Ebony meet her untimely demise, but her devoted assistant and longtime friend, Franklina Yaa Nkansah Kuri, and the valiant soldier Atsu Vondee also succumbed to the fatal accident. Miraculously, the sole survivor was the driver. Adding to the sorrow, Ebony left this world just eight days shy of her 21st birthday.
As a Ruff Town record label signee, Ebony Reigns became a household name, enchanting audiences with her relatable lyrics and unique songs, earning her the reputation of having no bad tunes. She made music that resonated with all classes and age groups.
Aside from her music, she had an admirable fashion sense and a deep understanding of the showbiz industry, captivating eyes with her body and choice of clothes, serenading ears, and warming hearts. Her distinctive speaking voice and boundless energy on the dance floor were unforgettable.
