Death of 16-Year-Old Aburi SHS Girl: Family Demands Answers

A 16-year-old Aburi Girls Senior High School student, Stacy Okyere, passed away on February 4, just a month into her admission. The family is demanding independent investigations into the circumstances, blaming the school’s inaction. Stacy’s father, Kingsley Okyere, expressed his devastation in an exclusive interview with 3 News, stating, “The school has killed my child.”
Despite his daughter having no underlying conditions, he claims the school delayed taking her to the hospital, forcing him to transport her himself. The distressing incident unfolded with Stacy lying unconscious on the floor, surrounded by classmates, leading to a futile rush to the hospital. Despite efforts, Stacy had already passed away before reaching Tetteh Quarshie Memorial Hospital. The Okyere family is now grappling with the heartbreaking loss, seeking answers and justice.
