Ghanaian actress Adu Safowaah has officially embarked on her journey to secure the Guinness World Record (GWR) for the longest individual speech.
This endeavor, initiated on Friday, February 9, is taking place at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel and is scheduled to conclude on February 14, 2024. Safowaah is delivering her speech in English, Twi, and French, adhering to the guideline of maintaining a minimum duration of 5 minutes for each speech.
To ensure a smooth delivery, Safowaah must avoid pauses exceeding 30 seconds between speeches. The format encourages spontaneity, with each speech having a distinct context. Additionally, a question and answer session is allowed, provided the inquirer stays outside the recording area.
Meanwhile videos showcasing Safowaah’s shaved head have sparked interest on social media.
It’s worth noting that Anata Ram KC from Nepal holds the current record for the longest speech marathon, an impressive 90 hours and 2 minutes from August 27 to 31, 2018.
Adu Safowaah is now in the league of successful GWR attempts, with Chef Faila pursuing the cook-a-thon and Afua Asantewaa attempting the sing-a-thon, all eagerly awaiting official confirmation.
Simultaneously, Chef Smith is making significant strides in his attempt at the record for the longest individual cooking marathon, having amassed 253 hours and aiming for the climax on March 6.
