TV presenter and actor Akwasi Boadi, professionally known as Akrobeto, recently revealed that a slap from his wife led to their divorce after years of marriage.
He shared, “I married my wife in 2006. I did not divorce my wife until recently when she slapped me and I fell. I am afraid of marriage now,” humorously recounting the experience on Accra-based UTV.
The intense incident prompted him to inform both families and seek dissolution to prevent future issues. Akrobeto expressed his fear of marriage, stating, “We all make mistakes, but please, marriage is all about understanding.”
He shared this revelation during the celebration of the 20th anniversary of Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and his wife, Samira, on Valentine’s Day, February 14.
He expressed surprise, saying, “Bawumia, the vice president and his wife have been married for 20 years. Oh wow, they have done very well.” Akrobeto emphasized the importance of understanding in marriage and questioned assumptions about the couple’s relationship, stating, “Do you think Bawumia does not hurt his wife? Do you think Samira does not offend her husband?”
