Elsa Majimbo Opens Up About Her Rift with Naomi Campbell

Kenyan comedian Elsa Majimbo recently stirred controversy by making allegations against British model Naomi Campbell, a former close friend.
In an eight-minute video on social media, Majimbo claimed that a dispute over a documentary led to Campbell’s actions, causing her to struggle with alcoholism and depression. The fallout originated when Campbell threatened legal action over a documentary Majimbo created without consent, despite discussing joint project plans during their 2020 vacation.

Despite deleting the video and tweets, Majimbo stands by her words, emphasizing her choice for peace over fear. She clarified that Campbell didn’t directly lead her to alcoholism, but the situation played a contributing role.

Some on the X app question the deletion, with followers speculating if Naomi’s legal threats were behind it. Elsa explained that Naomi threatened to sue and even mentioned sharing screenshots of their chats, where she specifically sought help with sexual harassment from “older white executives.”

As of now, Campbell has not responded to the allegations.

“lol no. She threatened to sue and post screenshots of a time I asked for her to help me with some older white executives that were trying to sleep with me. I’m now moving on and leaving it in the past,” she said.
