Controversial, personality Twene Jonas publicly called out actress and fashion ambassador, Martha Ankomah for her decision to take legal action against LilWin after rejecting a role in a Kumawood movie.
According to LilWin, Martha had cited the perceived lack of quality storylines as her reason for declining to work with them.
In response, Twene Jonas labeled her a fool, expressing his view that she had missed out on a perfect opportunity that had now been handed to Nigerian actors, including Ramsey Noah and Awilo Sharp Sharp, who are expected to join Lil Win’s upcoming film project.
Jonas asserted that times have changed, emphasizing that the responsibility to shine now falls on Kumawood. He strongly criticized Martha’s choice to pass on the role, describing it as plain stupidity. He argued that the rejection of money, other people, and opportunities is a factor contributing to the struggles of black individuals, leading celebrities to become needy and beg for alms in their old age.
Twene Jonas painted a contrast with the work ethic abroad, suggesting that people living outside the country take on various jobs for financial stability, with the essential aspect being getting paid afterward. He further insinuated that Martha, when in need of money, relies on a man to provide for her and questioned the sustainability of this approach.
Continuing his commentary, Twene Jonas advised against rejecting money-making opportunities, emphasizing the importance of seizing financial prospects.
Meanwhile, Martha Ankomah responded to Lil Win’s allegations by taking the matter to court, vehemently denying the statements attributed to her. She filed a defamation case against Lil Win, seeking redress and clarifying that she did not make the remarks he accused her of.
