“You don’t rap about reality,” Shatta Wale criticizes Sarkodie and others

Dancehall artist, Shatta Wale, recently shared his thoughts on Ghanaian rappers.
He pointed out that new artists on TikTok are creating more meaningful lyrics compared to the established ones. Shatta Wale thinks these emerging talents focus on real-life topics like hustling, while established artists often tend to overly highlight their wealth and lavish possessions in their lyrics.

While not explicitly naming anyone, Shatta Wale attempted to mimic rapper Sarkodie, even incorporating lyrics related to “Panamera” from Sarkodie’s rap in Patoranking’s ‘No Kissing Baby.’ Sarkodie has frequently referenced Panamera in his songs, creating an association with the car, despite not actually owning one.

Shatta Wale also mentioned that these successful artists don’t take advice well and act like they know everything about music.

Shatta Wale, confident in his own success, bragged that his wealth makes him better than them. He boldly claimed he could outshine them with his money, suggesting he could metaphorically “kill” them in the competition.

Regrettably, Shatta Wale and Sarkodie collaborated on a track titled ‘Megye Wo Girl,’ where they sang about using their style and charisma to attract and steal other people’s girlfriends.
