Ghanaian actor and politician Clement Bonney well known as Mr. Beautiful has claimed that Yvonne Nelson, Sarkodie and other showbiz personalities who organized the ‘Dumsor Must Stop’ vigil in 2016 took money from the then opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).
In a discussion on Okay FM’s ‘Best Entertainment’ show hosted by Halifax Ansah-Addo, Mr. Beautiful disagreed with those who said the movie industry collapsed because of dumsor.
According to him,the industry crashed before 2016 so Yvonne Nelson is a liar if she said the industry collapsed because of dumsor.
“She is a damn liar. Let her come out, I really want to meet her one on one to explain to me and I’ll tell her and Sarkodie that what they did was rubbish.
“It was bogus. How can you tell me that the movie industry died because of dumsor. You went to take money for demonstration and have shared it among yourselves,” he said.
Mr. Beautiful indicated that some of his people in the industry have been blinded by party colors.
