Movie producer, Samuel Akwasi Nyamekye of Miracle films has revealed
that Bishop Bernard Nyarko directed his mother to hide him from his
colleague actors.
It will be recalled that somewhere in December 2019, some section of
Kumawood actors went on Adom Fm to say that they know their brother
and colleague is seriously sick and all efforts to visit him proved
futile.
They added that Bishop Bernard Nyarko’s mother was killing his own son
because she is preventing them to see their colleague.
Akwasi Nyamekye of Miracle Films in a conversation with Kwasi Aboagye
Live indicated that, it was Bishop Bernard Nyarko’s decision to be
hidden from his colleagues.
According to him, he called Bernard Nyarko when he heard the issue and
Bernard told him that due to how the sickness has taken over his body
which has made him reduce lots of weight, he doesn’t want his
colleagues to come for a visit and be taking photos to put on social
media.
Akwasi Nyamekye added that he then told Bernard Nyarko to send him a
voice note to share in their WhatsApp groups to let his colleagues
know that it’s Bernard Nyarko’s decision to be hidden from his
colleague actors and not the mother.
The multiple award-winning producer disclosed to Kwasi Aboagye that
Bishop Bernard Nyarko had cancer in the stomach which hunted him for
over 8 months and claimed his life at the Ridge Hospital in Accra.
He finally asked the general public to pray for his family in these
hard times and not to point fingers at the mother of the late actor
for her son’s death.
Bishop Bernard acted in so many Kumawood movies and can easily be
remembered with his good English speaking sense in movies and his
great acting skills.
