Broadcast journalist, news anchor, and producer, Komla Adom has quit Media General, operators of TV3 and 3FM.
The journalist quit his roles at the media conglomerate effective May 31, 2023.
He joined Media General from the Multimedia Group in 2020 and went on to produce numerous features and documentaries while also acing his roles as presenter and producer of some of the stations flagship bulletins on TV and Radio.
He was the host of the midday news on TV3, also an anchor for 3FM’s morning news at 6, and also played sit-in roles across the English-speaking platforms.
In a personal statement on his social media pages, Komla wrote, “it’s been an awesome three years working with Media General, but the journey has come to an end.”
Many have described the sudden exit of the vibrant journalist as a blow – with no official reasons having been assigned for his resignation.
Even though the statement did not say where next for the top-rated journalist, there are speculations he may consider a path outside mainstream media.
“Special thanks to my bosses for the confidence reposed in me over the period, I hope I didn’t let you down,” the stamens added.
