Actress and entrepreneur Fella Makafui recently shared her distressing encounter with online harassment and unfounded rumors.
During an interview on Day Break Hitz with Andy Dosty, she disclosed that in 2019, she almost succumbed to false accusations.
“Somewhere in 2019, I almost committed suicide over an issue that was false,”she shared .
Fella emphasized the need for prioritizing mental health amid the barrage of negativity online, urging fellow celebrities to resist being consumed by baseless gossip.
She also highlighted her decision to maintain a level of privacy amidst public scrutiny, affirming her commitment to keeping certain aspects of her life out of the limelight.
“Certain things must not be answered. How long can you keep explaining yourself? I am very quiet on issues because I know myself. In fact, I hardly go on social media to read stuff about me.
“Mental health is very critical and that is what I want celebrities to pay attention to. When you pay attention to false publications and try to think about them, they play on your mind and psychologically, you start having mental problems” she cautioned.
