General manager of TV3 Network resigns

The General Manager of TV3 Network and 3FM, Francis Doku has quit after more than 6-years, which will start on Friday, July 7.

He joined Media General in August 2017 as the General Manager of MG Digital, where he played a key role in the growth and success of the company’s digital operations.

Friday 29th May 2020, the management of Media General, Ghana’s leading media company announced the appointments and changes in its management team which told effect on June 1, 2020.

In the changes, Doku was promoted to General Manager of 3Group, where he oversaw the management of TV3 and 3FM.

Francis Doku, a career media professional as well as a consummate marketing communications specialist with almost two decades hands-on experience in media strategy, planning, buying and brands communication had the appointment as the new General Manager of TV3 Network, the nation’s number one television platform.

Under his leadership, 3Group experienced significant growth, and Date Rush, one of the most popular television programs in Ghana, was launched.

Before joining Media General, the media mogul worked as the Founder of Maestro Africa Group Limited. He also worked with MediaCom Ghana (now Vizeum), Adams Media Limited (Carat Ghana), and The Rave Group.

Doku is a passionate African travel writer and enthusiast who has traveled extensively on the continent of Africa and beyond.

Doku’s departure is a loss for Media General, but he leaves the company with a strong legacy.
