Member of Parliament for Assin Central Kennedy Agyapong has advised the New Patriotic Party’s parliamentary candidate for Akwatia constituency, Ernest Yaw Kumi to go and beg the current MP for the area Ama Sey.
Speaking at the NPP’s health walk last Sunday, Kennedy Agyapong, who believes Ama Sey has grassroots support told Ernest Kumi to seek more advice from her.
He indicated that Ernest Kumi would not have stood the chance of winning the parliamentary polls if Ama Sey had contested as an independent candidate in the December 7 elections.
The outspoken MP told the supporters that nobody gave Ama Sey money before she agreed to rescind her decision to run as independent candidate.
Kennedy Agyapong attested to the fact that the party did not deal well with Ama Sey because they voted her out based on her educational status.
He stressed that it was this same low educational background she used to kick out lawyer Baba Jamal in the 2016 elections.
The health walk was attended by many NPP national executives including Sammy Awuku, Nana B, Kate Gyamfua and Afia Akoto.
Some of the regional executives also attended.
