You cannot win the election even if you swim in the Ayawaso flood – John Dumelo to Lydia Alhassan

Actor turned politician, John Dumelo is confident of winning the Ayawaso West Wuogon seat in the December 7 elections.

At the launch of his campaign over the weekend, Dumelo, who is running on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress said despite being prevented from undertaking developmental projects in the constituency, he cannot be stopped from winning.

A few weeks ago, news broke that John Dumelo had been stopped by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) when he tried to clear some choked gutters after some parts of the constituency got flooded.

Dumelo and his contender, Lydia Seyram Alhassan, who is the MP for the area, both went round the constituency and pictures of them wearing Wellington Boots and standing in the flood waters went viral.

Speaking on the issue, he said, “Even if you swim in the Ayawaso floods you won’t win the election.”

He indicated that the NPP stopped him from sharing laptops to students in the constituency but they cannot stop him from attaining victory.
