May 1 Declared a Holiday

The Government of Ghana has declared Wednesday, May 1, 2024, as a statutory public holiday.

Interior Minister Henry Quartey issued a statement urging the general public to observe the day throughout the country.
“The general public is hereby informed that Monday, 1st May 2024, which marks May Day (Workers Day), is a Statutory Public Holiday and should be observed as such throughout the country,” the release said.
