Hearts of Oak have terminated the contract of head coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi by mutual consent.
The Japanese-American is said to have tendered a request for a 25-day leave to pursue a coaching course abroad.
But after giving the board of directors an option to relieve him of his contract, that option was taken.
“The club wish to assure all supporters and the general public that appropriate plans have been put in place for a replacement and an official announcement would be made in the coming days,” a statement signed by Hackman Aidoo, the club’s Administrative Manager, said.
The statement on Monday added: “Again, management would want to assure all that it is continuing to develop and position the club to be the most successful sports brand not only domestically but continentally and would continue to act in the best interest of the club always.”
Kenichi Yatsuhashi guided the Phobians to a fourth place finish after the first round of the 2015/2016 league.
They are 2 points off top-of-the-table side Wa All Stars.
Hearts were billed to play Dreams FC this weekend for the resumption of the league.
