Hearts of Oak have outdoored recently engaged youth team coach, Sergio Traguil, as replacement to Japanese Kenichi Yatsuhashi.
Yatsuhashi reached a mutual agreement with the club to leave for a coaching course in India.
Management of the club quickly promoted Portuguese Traguil to the senior side.
“Just [on Wednesday], we hurriedly had to take Sergio to the team and put him in an acting position so that when Yaw [Preko] is away, he will be in charge,” said club Chief Executive Officer Vincent Odotei Sowah.
He said the club needed a technical handler given the national engagements of goalkeeper’s trainer Nassam Yakubu and welfare officer Saban Quaye.
“If we don’t add someone to them immediately we will be in trouble,” he stressed on Thursday.
Hearts’ new coach reports of having worked with the likes of Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola and was once touted the ‘New Mourinho’, which prominently features on his Twitter page.
“It is very huge challenge but this is the kind of challenge that I like,” Sergio Traguil said.
“It is tough but it is good for me. I want to bring all the football knowledge that I have for Hearts of Oak to improve.”
