Award-winning producer, singer-songwriter Richie Mensah says he gains a lot of satisfaction by helping his fellow artistes.
Richie has worked with most of the successful Ghanaian musicians including ASEM, Miss Vee, Sway, Faze, Tinny, V.I.P., Tic-Tac, Samini, Okyeame Kwame, Wutah, Reggie Rockstone, Obour, Kwaw Kesse, Praye, Bradez, Scientific, Irene & Jane, Becca, Gyedu Blay Ambolley, Nana Fynn and Mimi
Richie, in an exclusive interview with 3news.com, said he believes in sharing what he has to drive people to the top.
“When you are blessed with a lot I believe you have to give, and for example Bill Gates can just give $250 million to a malaria foundation but I wouldn’t be able to do that.
“God gave me a lot of talent and one of them is to help people materialize their dreams so when I see a talent, I understand how to make that person into the person they want to become.
“I won’t lie but it’s awesome when I’m on stage and they are chanting my name but at the same time too when people are standing on stage and I know I
put them there, it gives me satisfaction.
“As for helping others I will never stop that because when I started I was only 17 and nobody helped me apart from my mother.
“I had to struggle and do everything all on my own, putting together a team that could help me get to where I am now.
“When I made it I felt responsible not to see another talented person going through that same hassle or the same story”.
Richie has only been involved in music professionally since 2007 but his hard work, unquestionable talent and ability to unearth, nurture and produce other talented artistes are some of the qualities that have helped the young entrepreneur/artiste to embed his name firmly in the history books of the Ghanaian music industry.
