Even though Sarkodie has stated that he will get a proper forum to address the Yvonne Nelson diss track issue, he has revealed some bit of detail that grants us permission into his mental state while doing the track. The ongoing revelation has it that, the award-winning rapper did not want to release the diss track even though he had recorded it.
Sarkodie kept a tight circle to ensure he did the diss track. He involved just two persons in the inner circle to ensure he had the final decision regarding what he would do with the diss song.
This however did not go as planned as the circle of trust was broken.
Sarkodie in the interview with Angela Yee on the Way Up show admitted wanting to have his lawyer advise him on ways to handle how he had been painted in Yvonne Nelsons’ book. Sarkodie who had contacted his lawyer did not know a tragedy had met her. Lawyer Cynthia Quarcoo had unfortunately passed away when Sarkodie initiated his contact. Sark said in the interview that, he had sent her a message and had not gotten a reply for hours. He was later informed of her untimely demise.
Sarkodie also admitted that he knew lawyer Cynthia Quarcoo would not have appreciated his choice of words for the response track. This situation coupled with his emotional state at that time made him hold on to the track and wanted to decide what to do with the diss track he had recorded.
Sarkodie however realised that Twitter was on fire with a leaked version of the track he recorded. He admitted to Angela during the interview that, he had to then release the track officially. His opportunity to hold on to the track was lost.
