My Team and Tracy did Not Know I had Recorded Yvonne Nelson’s Diss Track – Sarkodie

Multiple Award-winning artist Sarkodie has given more details regarding what went into his reply to Yvonne Nelson’s book.
Yvonne Nelson in her released memoir mentioned having an abortion for Sarkodie and not getting any emotional support from him. The book released a few weeks ago has gained a lot of readership and following.
Sarkodie, who deemed the book painted him in the wrong light, released a diss song to address Yvonne Nelson.

While in the US doing his Jamz tour, Sarkodie has granted an interview with Angela on Way Up with Angela Yee.

In the interview, Sarkodie gave us a glimpse of how he ended up recording the diss track.
Angela asked Sarkodie if he had anyone listen to the track or if there was anyone who could have added their input before the song could get out.

In his response, Sark said he did not want anyone to interfere with how he was feeling at that moment. He did not want anyone’s input to dilute what he wanted to put out.

“People think my team is in support of what I did. None of them knew I did that record. It happened when I was on tour. Sometimes when I feel something, the lyrics are gonna come right there. So I sneaked into the studio to record this. I didn’t let anybody hear it, cos I didn’t want to hear any advice. I just literally wanted to do what I felt at that point and face the consequences later on. It wasn’t like the whole team sat down and said this is good to go. I did it personally for myself”
