Ever since the release of the explosive “I am Not Yvonne Nelson”, everyone has been waiting to hear Sarkodie’s side of the turn of events 13 years ago regarding Yvonne Nelson’s abortion of his child. We even imagined it will be put in Sarkodie’s future book release.
Sarkodie is currently in the US on his Jamz tour. He has not granted any interview to a local media house regarding the issue but was put on the spot during an interview with Angela on Way Up with Angela Yee
During the interview, Angela admitted she could not believe Sarkodie was going to engage in the situation as Sark is known to keep his private life separate from the press.
Sark when asked what made him decide to engage, this was the response:
“To be very honest, it is a sensitive conversation, the reason why I didn’t do any media or press around it is because I know I might lose how I will like to present what I feel about it.
This is not the first time. I have done records to address certain issues or maybe a line or two in a record just to address issues. There is certain energy I hate to feed into, especially speaking about it because I might lose my kool.
So with this situation, I won’t sit here and say am super proud about everything. But then in the moment, it was how I felt whether being my truth, there should have been a way you could have said it. That is why I do not like to speak about it. Because it is a conversation between two people but then we could have a conversation if you want to talk about it, because it involves me as well.
But because people know that Sark doesn’t speak, they think they can say something and get away with it. So once in a while, I will have to react.”
