Ghanaian highlife artiste KK Fosu has hit out at Shatta Wale, saying he used to live a life of a junkie before he gained fame.
The latest jibe comes after the self-acclaimed dancehall king, Shatta Wale, stated in a recent interview with Delay that musicians like KK Fosu, Ex Doe and Tic-Tac were not smart and business minded during their hay days.
Speaking on Onua FM’s entertainment show Anigye Mmre hosted by Christian Agyei Frimpong, KK Fosu described Shatta Wale as a non-competitor in the music industry.
An obviously furious KK Fosu said: “People like Shatta Wale are shallow minded, and not smart like me, KK Fosu. He is a fake, sell out, and has disappointed all the people he started with, and if he believes he is not a coward, then I’m waiting for him right inside the studios of Onua FM. I will beat him if he comes here”.
“He (Shatta Wale) claims he is a gangster but I’m telling you he is a fake gangster and if he thinks he’s one; then he should go to the streets.”
KK Fosu questioned Shatta’s love for people on the streets by asking him how much love he has shown them since he became a hit.
Born Kaakyire Kwame Fosu, the ‘Anadwo Y3d3’ hitmaker claims that he has paid his dues to the people on the streets and takes care of a lot of people.
“I remember I met him once around the beach area on my way to have fun with my kid and I saw Shatta Wale walking around like a junkie”.
