Lynx Entertainment, the former record label to the late Ghanaian rapper OJ Blaq, will hold a vigil for the late artist on Friday night, August 25, at 6:00pm at the Lynx Entertainment office in Dworwulu.
The vigil will be an opportunity for fans, friends, and family to pay their respects to OJ Blaq and celebrate his life and music. There will be live performances by some of his friends and colleagues, as well as a moment of silence to remember the artist.
The vigil is open to the public, and all are welcome to attend. In addition to the vigil, Lynx Entertainment is also planning a series of other events to celebrate the late rapper’s life and music. These events will be announced in the coming days.
OJ Blaq, whose real name was Andy Nii Akrashie, was born in Accra. He began his music career in the early 2000s and released his debut album, “The Blaq Mixtape”, in 2006. He went on to release several songs, including his hit song “Chalewote”.
OJ Blaq who passed away at the age of 40, was known for his unique rapping style. He was also a popular actor, appearing in several Ghanaian films and television series.
In 2021, the late rapper was diagnosed with kidney disease. He underwent dialysis treatment. He passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2023.
