 President John Dramani Mahama and his National Democratic Congress will on Monday put into full gear, their 2016 campaign with a nationwide tour to justify why they be given another four-year term.

The nationwide campaign trail which starts from the Western Region, will come a day after the party’s campaign launch in the Central Regional capital, Cape Coast.

Sources within the party told 3News that the President will visit 16 constituencies in the Western Region where he and his party will be touting the achievement of the Mahama-led government in the last four years, as well as solicit for votes in the 2016 general elections.

President Mahama will spend five days in the Western Region, which is the first phase of a series of regional tours.

He is expected to crown the five-day tour of the region on August 19 with a rally at Sekondi before he returns to Accra.
