Flagbearer of National Democratic Party (NDP), Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings has revealed her strongest disapproval of the conversion of Polytechnics into technical universities.
When elected into power, the government under her would amend the Act establishing the technical universities, she stressed.
Before Parliament went into recess this month, one of the numerous bills passed was the Technical Universities Act.
But speaking on Onua 95.1FM this week, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings noted that under her leadership, an important process would be initiated to reverse the conversion of polytechnics.
The NDP flagbearer was emphatic about her disagreement with the passage of the Technical University Bill into law.
She argued that in most advanced and developed countries, it is the polytechnics that have been enhanced to become the backbone of their development, and would want same for Ghana.
Mrs Agyeman-Rawlings also promised to focus on building the capacity of the youth and empowering women.
