As for how the “Grey’s Anatomy” actor reacted when he first heard the news, he told People in an interview published Tuesday that he was “completely shocked.”

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Amansan Krakye on Cape Coast-based Property FM, the “No Dulling” hitmaker asserted that he has nothing to be afraid of as he is equally working just as his wife is doing.

You have turned Christianity into ‘foolishness’; Did God make you a minister? – Afia Schwarzenegger slams Cecilia Marfo

0

Controversial media personality and socialite, Afia Schwarzenegger, has slammed gospel musician Cecilia Marfo for grieving over the predicament of her church.

According to her, Cecilia Marfo should blame herself for the struggles her church is battling with because of some weird practices she was engaging in that even led to public backlash.

The controversial socialite explained that Cecilia Marfo was directing some of her ill congregants to take bread as a painkiller and other practices that are not worth the Christian religion.

Speaking in a TikTok live session, Afia Schwarzenegger chided Cecilia Marfo for being responsible for her downfall and described her religious practices as ‘foolishness.’

“When someone is sick, she [Cecilia Marfo] would tell the person to eat bread. Since when did bread become a painkiller? You have made Christianity advance foolishness. Many people in the church battling with diabetes are asked to drink ‘sobolo’, how?

“Even pregnant women were also drinking sobolo. When she was crying people sympathized with her. These days every gospel musician is a minister. Did God make you a minister after calling you to be a musician?” Afia Schwarzenegger fumed.

Afia Schwarzenegger insists that Kennedy Agaypong despite his failings did the Lord’s work by exposing fake pastors whiles opening the eyes of Ghanaians to the danger of their trade.

“Kennedy Agyapong has done a lot of things that cannot be justified. But if it took Kennedy Agyapong to collapse Cecilia Marfo’s church, he did the work of God.

“Just because he is not a good person, doesn’t mean his name should be sullied anyhow. He did the work of God by dismantling Cecilia’s church in particular, you may ask why,” she said.

Her reaction comes after Cecilia Marfo shared her harrowing experience of how her church which used to be populated with over 400 members has diminished to a paltry 40 members.

She blamed the near-collapse state of her church on Assin Central Member of Parliament (MP), Kennedy Agyapong, and fellow gospel musician, Diana Asamoah, for their issues with her that led to some of her members not attending her church.

While narrating her ordeal, Cecilia Marfo cried uncontrollably as she attributed it to the pains she had gone through due to the state of her church.

Speaking in an interview with JoyPrime TV on the Prime Morning show monitored by GhanaWeb, Cecilia Marfo noted that she has forgiven all the people whose inactions affected her ministry but believes God will deal with them at the right time.

“What they have done to me, God will fight for me. I had over 400 church members. If I tell you it’s left with 40, would you believe it? Sometimes, when I think about the church I cry and I know everyone will be held accountable by God,” [afterward, she bowed down her head and started weeping uncontrollably],” she said.

“You can’t make money from rituals, be careful” – Kanayo O Kanayo warns youths

0

Veteran Nollywood movie icon, Kanayo O Kanayo, well-known for portraying ritualistic characters in movies has warned youths against engaging in money rituals in a bit to make wealth.

Encouraging the Nigerian youths, he advocated for diligence and hard work in pursuing success in their respective endeavors.

Speaking at Ikenga Online’s November 2023 virtual Town Hall Meeting, on the topic “Rituals, Riches, and Realities: The Myths of Money-Making and the Dignity of Labour,” emphasized the lack of any connection between human sacrifices and acquiring wealth.

In his words, “These people (youths) have upped their ante and it is not about what they watch (movies). There is no truth to the fact that a man living in a thatched house will ask you to kill your girlfriend and sleep with her to make money.

“The Yahoo (scam) we knew many years ago was writing letters and promising deals that were utopian. We know many people who are in public office today who were part of it. I will not want to mention names.”

Addressing modern scams, he remarked, “The in-thing is Yahoo Promax, which involves killing someone, eating the heart of the person and washing it down with Hennessy, and the belief that you will make money. I can’t see any connection between that and making money. Money is made through hard work.”

Reflecting on his personal success story, Kanayo O Kanayo revealed building a mansion without resorting to sacrifices.

“I laid the foundation of my house in 2015, and in 2016, Globacom, owned by Mike Adenuga, signed me as one of those to be a part of a nationwide campaign it was holding,” he recounted.

Detailing the financial windfall from the campaign, he explained, “So, I made a lot of money and built my house. I can say I made a sacrifice to build that house because, at that time, I had the option of buying a brand new 2015 Range Rover. If I had bought it, today, I would have been seen as someone who was driving an old Range Rover.”

In choosing to invest in his home over a luxury car, he regarded it as a meaningful sacrifice for his long-term benefit.
