President Akufo-Addo reveals the plan he had for Mfantseman MP before he died

President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo has disclosed the plan he had for Member of Parliament for Mfantseman Constittuency, Ekow Quansah Hayford before his untimely demise.

According to reports, Ekow Quansah Hayford met his untimely death on Friday, October 9, when returning from a campaign trip at Nkusukum on the Mankessim-Abeadze Duadze road around 1:00 am.

He died after he was shot twice in his car by armed robbers.

On a visit to the family of the deceased MP, President Akufo-Addo revealed that it was his intention to make the late MP a Minister in his second term.

However, the President in his speech assured the family that the late MP will be given a befitting burial.

President Nana Akufo-Addo was reported to have said: “Ekow Quansah Hayford was a very hard-working member of parliament, I had planned to make him a minister in my next government if I win the upcoming elections but unfortunately this development has come in.”

I will take care of the family, especially the widow and children, as long as I still remain President in this nation. Due to his hard work, I had to stop whatever I was doing to visit the family to console you. I promise I will be present during his funeral as well”. He added.
