Media giant, TV3 has called movie producer Socrate Safo an imposter for claiming he owns the copyright to a movie they recently showed.
A few days ago, TV3 showed a Ghanaian movie titled ‘Play Boy’ and reports say Socrate Safo informed the station that he was the owner of the movie and deemed it a copyright infringement for TV3 to show the movie without his consent.
However, TV3 has shot down Socrate’s claims saying he is not the owner of the movie but rather an imposter who lacks the locus to make claims for copyright infringement.
The station did not disclose the owner of the movie but has told Mr. Safo to provide proof he is the owner of the movie.
According to some cast and crew of the Play Boy movie, they are surprised that TV3 is saying it does not belong to Socrate Safo.
It has been proven that Mr. Safo has been taking royalties for the said movie from other organizations for years.
Checks showed the movie has Socrate Safo’s details as it as the owner.
It is not yet known if Socrate Safo will take legal action against TV3.
