In a deeply emotional video, award-winning Hollywood actor Jamie Foxx recently broke his silence about the life-altering illness he battled.

The 55-year-old Oscar winner held back tears as he described his “hellish” experience in a video posted on his instagram page.

Offering a glimpse into the immense physical and emotional toll his illness took on him, In his first public address since the harrowing experience, Jamie Foxx fearlessly shared his hopes and the profound gratitude he has for his recovery and for the people around him.

“I went through something I thought I would never ever go through,” Foxx said, informing his 16 million followers he’s not “blind” or “paralyzed.”

“I know a lot of people were waiting or wanting to hear an update but to be honest with you, I didn’t want you to see me like that man,’he admitted

“I want you to see me laughing, having a good time, partying, cracking a joke, doing a movie, or a television show. I didn’t want you to see me with tubes running out of me and trying to figure out if I was going to make it through.”

Although the actor kept his sickness a secret, he is now “on the road to recovery.”

Foxx thanked his daughter Corinne Foxx, 29, and sister Deondra Dixon for saving his life.

“To them, to God, to a lot of great medical people, I’m able to leave you this video,”

“I cannot tell you how great it feels to have your family kick in in such a way, and y’all know they kept it airtight, they didn’t let nothing out, they protected me, and that’s what I hope that everyone could have in moments like these. But, I’m coming back, and I am able to work,” he said.

Recall that few months ago, Jamie Foxx’s daughter breaks silence on her dad’s ‘Medical Complications’ and has been hospitalized in Georgia since April 11
