Hiplife musician Wisa says he never jumped bail despite failing to appear before the court on Monday, June 27.

An Accra Circuit Court has issued a bench warrant for the arrest of the musician for his failure to appear in court Monday.

He is expected to be in  court at the next hearing on July 13.

Speaking exclusively to 3news.com, Wisa said he was sorry for his inability to appear before court and promised to attend the next hearing.

“I was at home and tried several times to talk to my lawyer a few days ago but couldn’t reach him.

“I didn’t know the date until I saw this news online and realised I had to be in court.

“I will just say sorry and it wasn’t intentional and I wasn’t called to be alerted that I had to be in court this morning.

“I can’t run away from this kind of case as I am still around and waiting for them so I will try my best to go on July 13 and I am told the police are also looking for me”.
