Award-winning actress and film producer, Yvonne Nelson has taken to Twitter to call out rapper Sarkodie hours after the latter shared a new song dubbed ‘Try Me’.
The actress responded to the rapper’s song about their alleged abortion, which she claims he abandoned after impregnating her.
In her memoir, “I Am Not Yvonne Nelson,” Nelson said that Sarkodie pressured her to have an abortion after she got pregnant with his child. She said that he was not ready to be a father and that he did not want to take responsibility for the pregnancy.
In Sarkodie’s new song “Try Me” denied forcing Yvonne Nelson to have an abortion as claimed by the actress in her memoir.
“You told be you were schooling so you needed to complete it but till today, I don’t believe it. I told you to let my doctor take care of you and you sent a text later that your friend has recommended a one of the best doctors…
“So don’t you make it seem like I was the one pushing you for abortion. Baby girl make you no try me”, part of his lyrics reads.
However, in response to Sarkodie’s “Try Me” lyrics, Yvonne criticized the rapper for ‘being disrespectful’ and “trying to rubbish a pain a young woman felt.” in a series of tweets.
Sounding overly disdained, Yvonne said that ,”We both have daughters and that I would like to see what life throws at them.”

Michael , you claim I was desperate to abort because I needed to complete school. In 2010 when I became pregnant, I had completed the university. Anybody can verify this. I wasn’t in school and you know it. If you want to lie, find an logical lie. #youspittinglies
