[ AUDIO] Sarkodie responds to Yvonne Nelson’s abortion allegations against him

Multiple-award-winning rapper, Michael Owusu Addo, popolarly known as Sarkodie has finally addressed the relationship and abortion allegations by Yvonne Nelson in his new song.

On Wednesday night, June 27, “Africa’s Most Decorated” rapper dropped a new track on YouTube, dubbed “Try Me” accompanied by a lyric video addressing the recent controversy surrounding his relationship with Yvonne Nelson.

In the song, Sarkodie denied claims that he forced the actress and film producer to have an abortion in 2010.

The “Country Side” hitmaker shared his side of the story, saying that he wanted Yvonne to have the baby even though he wasn’t ready at the time but she refused because she was in school.

You told be you were schooling so you needed to complete it but till today, I don’t believe it. I told you to let my doctor take care of you and you sent a text later that your friend has recommended a one of the best doctors…

“So don’t you make it seem like I was the one pushing you for abortion? Baby girl make you no try me”, part of his lyrics reads.

But in the 3 minutes/16 seconds song dubbed “Try Me,” — performed in Akan Twi, English, and Pidgin, Sarkodie addressed several of the allegations made by the celebrated actress in the book.

The popular actress made accusations in her memoir, “I Am Not Yvonne Nelson,” which was released on June 18, 2023 that the rapper forced her to abort their child.

According to Yvonne Nelson, when she broke the news to Sarkodie that she was pregnant she could hear his heart pounding, and when he finally found his voice, he faltered.
