Aakosya drops ‘Sincerely Kos’ album

Ghanaian USA-based songstress, Aakosya, born Natasha Aakosya Afriy has released her latest “Sincerely Kos” album.

The project seeks to highlight the singer’s music abilities and writing skills that distinguish her talent in the competitive music field.

The Afro RnB artiste, who was born and grew up in Fort Worth, Texas to Ghanaian parents had been nurtured and privy to the rich Ghanaian culture including music, language and food which have great influence on her music.

Sincerely Kos has a lot of positive vibes with bits of the trendy Amapiano infused with her favourite Afro RnB rhythm.

Songs on the four-track album are ‘Wetin Ghel Do’, Touch and ‘Doll’ings’.

The songs are simple and easy to sing along with relatable lyrics. Aakosya features Bisa Kdei on ‘Wetin Ghel Do’ which has huge potential of gaining roots in her home country of Ghana.

“Doll’ings”, which is the name of the fans of Aakosya was coined after the release of her first studio album, titled ‘Fourth Sunday’. The project solidified her Sultry Afro RnB sound. Her hit single ‘Touch’ landed her a gig in Lagos, Nigeria for the Afrima Awards Concert earlier this year.

Aakosya always loved listening to her father’s collection of Afro/Highlife music, specifically that of Daddy Lumba.

She discovered her talent at a tender age but was encouraged to pursue it after receiving a standing ovation after a performance in church. She was later groomed to pursue commercial music as a solo artiste when she exited all-girl music group.

Aakosya is working diligently to put out more music and Sincerely Kos album is a sure evidence of how hard she is working to be relevant in the music space.

She is very confident of making some gains in the Ghanaian music industry and sure that a good strategic promotion will help her cause.

In her short span of career, Aakosya has earned some recognition including getting nomination in the Best US based Afro-Pop song of the Year category for the Ghana Music Awards festival.

Aakosya has also shared the stage with several top artistes such as Kizz Daniel, Flavour, Simi, Patrice Roberts, Jason Lyric, Kwesi Arthur, Bracket, among others.

She recently revealed in an interview that she is single and confessed a romantic relationship with a Ghanaian is high on her radar.
